Chair: Shawna Traugh

Treasurer: Joshua Wood

Josh is from away away in California and moved here in 2023. Since that time he has tried to involve himself in multiple community projects and is interested in bringing people together and promoting a safe and trusting environment for everyone to be themselves. He works as a Physician Assistant serving the medical needs of the community and enjoys nerding out on the weekends with video games, miniatures, and artwork.

Secretary: Kate Easter

Kate is all about building a bold, joyful queer community in rural Maine, and they’ve been a proud member of the Pride Aroostook board for several years. They also bring their fire and focus to the Maine Permanent Commission on the Status of Women, pushing for equity with grit and heart. On the roller derby track, Kate is the Head Official for Aroostook Roller Derby and a member of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association Officials Certification team—keeping the sport sharp, fair, and fiercely fun.
Their commitment to the community doesn’t stop there. Kate volunteers with the Aroostook House of Comfort and the Hope & Justice Project, showing up wherever compassion and steady support are needed. And in June 2026, they’ll be ordained as a Chaplain—ready to listen deeply, honor people’s stories, and craft rituals & ceremonies for all the big and small moments of life.
By day, Kate is the Workforce Development Director at the Loring Job Corps Center, where they champion young people, build essential career skills, and rave to anyone who will listen about how incredible their students are.
When you don't find them in any of those places, you’ll find Kate tending their feral and unruly garden, hanging out with their cats, or exploring the winding backroads of Maine and New Brunswick in search of the next picnic spot.

Board Member: Katelyn Dufour

Katelyn Dufour grew up in Madawaska ME.  She is a 2008 graduate of Madawaska Middle/High School and a 2012 graduate of University of Maine. She works full time for AMHC.  Katelyn built a house in 2023 in Madawaska on property that has been in her family for 6 generations.  In her free time she likes to be outdoors, driving her mustang, reading books, writing and playing video games.  Katelyn is proud to be apart of Pride Aroostook board representing Northern Aroostook and hopes that anyone that has any ideas or thoughts for the organization can let her know.  Or just say hi when you see her out in public.

Board Member: Silver Smith

Silver Smith is an enthusiastic board member who strives to make the community a better place and, by proxy, help host a bunch of awesome inclusive parties! When away from the board table, you can find Silver thrifting for sound equipment, singing unsolicited karaoke, and making her friends come to her obscure theater productions.
